Hello Friends and Neighbors!
Thank you for visiting my website for Assembly District 8! Have a look around and become acquainted with who I am and what I stand for--and if you have any questions, don’t be afraid to ask.
As your Assemblyman I will continue to work to bring a consensus to the Nevada State Assembly, and to create a brighter future for Nevada! It is extremely important to be able to work with both sides of the aisle as each side has something to offer. I have a proven record of working with all parties to help move Nevada forward.
I am a combat Veteran myself, I know the value of making sure that our nation's Veterans get the kind of care and treatment that they deserve. I will not accept anything less, and will fight for our Veterans at every opportunity.
I will continue to fight for common sense criminal justice reform in Nevada. There are far to many minorities being targeted and are now sitting in our jails for minor offenses while their families are struggling to survive. I have put forth a bill for the upcoming legislative session to end mandatory sentencing here in Nevada. Judges must have the discretion to apply the law on a case by case basis. The system is not perfect but I believe this is a step in the right direction.
It seems that every year we are asked to pay “just a little bit more” this is not the answer to the issues that face our state. Government agencies must be held accountable for how our tax dollars are being spent. For years, we’ve been paying more and getting less. We deserve better.
I am a man that believes in getting things done and not just talking about them. We need to work with all parties to accomplish the goals that we need to move Nevada forward. Government must be accountable to the people of the great state of Nevada. Less government involvement in our daily lives and less government spending of our money is the best way to ensure a free and prosperous future for Nevada.
